What equipment do i need?

Ideally a helmet, knee pads, flat shoes, comfortable clothes and a skateboard. Protection is a personal choice but recommended when starting out. All equipment can be loaned on your first session upon request before comitting to your own purchases.

What are the benefits of the Skateboarding class?

Skateboarding is difficult. It takes practice and perseverance to become a proficient skateboarder. Learning to skateboard is a great challenge for children; often improving confidence, balance and fitness. What are the risks?

Bumps, grazes, and knocks are common with skateboarding. Falling comes part and parcel and learning to get back on a board after a fall is an important life skill to gain. Broken bones, sprains are possible but rare when skateboarding is approached in the correct way. All risks can be significantly reduced with proper protection, training, and equipment (see what equipment do I need). Safety and fun are my two main goals.

Where is Chin-Club?

Chin Club uses a range of location in Lymm, Cheshire. We are predominately located at Lymm Youth Club however we do use Ridgeway Grundy Park or a private indoor ramp facility in Lymm depending upon the weather or course progression.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to be safe and confident on a skateboard. you can learn how to ride flat ground, street and ramps with confidence.

Can i cancel?

All booking are paid for in blocks of 6 weeks. Sometimes skateboarding is too tough or painful and you are free to cancel your booking after the first class.

What age groups do you coach?

This course is aimed at 7-13 years old. I will try my best to match the age ranges as close as possible within each session. If you are outside of this age range please contact me and we can discuss your options.

What legal cover and protection do you have?

As a skateboard GB coach, I an insured to provide skateboard coaching and lessons. I have completed additional training in first aid and safeguarding children. I have a clear DBS certificate. Risk assessments are completed prior to each session.
